Community Consulting
When a charter school is successful, the incentives align to encourage replication. There is family demand, there is massive financial support, and there is established precedent. We are intentionally staying as one small school in service of staying good. We also believe that we have an obligation to be of service, and to speak about it.
In 2024, we will begin offering our services in a few focus areas where our school has demonstrated success:
Academic results as a standalone middle school where many students enter well-below grade level.
Restorative Justice implemented with shared systems of harm repair and team ownership.
Operations for a 21st century school that create strong internal communication and information management.
School visit & critical friend audits
We're running a school — we're not full-time consultants, we're not evaluating you, and we practice what we preach. We do the same work, and we think it's work worth doing.
Quarterly site visits with reciprocal visits to Creo.
Pre-work on school systems clarity.
Debrief with client leadership team.
Output: Actionable report with six-week academic, culture, and operations metrics.
Distributed leadership coaching
The work is hard, leading in education has never been more challenging, and we're still in it...and by “we”, we mean the 29% of our team in a position of teacher leadership.
1:1 video coaching for new teacher leaders
Time & Task management coaching
Output: Level-up your people from from individual contributors to contributor-managers.
21st century operations
Imagine if staff communication was seamless and everyone had access to the documents and information they needed. It's possible.
Co-design and establish internal communication and information management systems.
Customize tools and workflows for unique school situations.
Output: A team that is able to communicate and collaborate efficiently and joyfully is a team that has a chance of keeping people in teaching.
